A practical, aesthetically pleasing design to transform a dark, outdated kitchen into a lighter, brighter and more functional space completely changed the way the whole main floor felt and flowed. A bedroom became a functional mud room AND butler pantry, too, used for additional kitchen storage. A secondary "kids kitchen" with microwave and under-counter fridge rounded out the butler pantry design and the result was a multi-purpose space, perfect for the hustle and bustle of busy family life. Meanwhile, an unused hall closet was converted into a charming dry bar that became a fun focal point in the new great room space.
